What is Ministry?  

        Ministry is simply the work that we do based on our beliefs. For Spirit & Truth Foursquare Church, any work that we do because we believe it is for the benefit of the Kingdom of Heaven or it is what Jesus has us doing is ministry.

Children’s Ministry

        Serving our children is one such ministry. Jesus states “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children” (Matthew 19:14). Jesus taught that we should open the way for children to come to him and that we can actually learn something about our relationship to His Kingdom from children. Prayer

        We believe in the power of prayer but we also believe in the ministry of prayer. It is a work to be engaged with often. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7-11). For some this brings up the question do we pray to change our hearts and minds or do we pray to influence God’s actions in the world, but this question misses the very point of prayer. Our Father in Heaven wants to partner with us! He wants us to partner with Him? As we do the ministry of prayer we are changed and we partner with God in changing the world around us.
